The concept of a "Hands-on music producing academy" was born from a need that I identified from numerous enthusiastic, talented young musicians with some theoretical knowledge but no experience. My aim is to mentor young musicians to who I am as a musician/producer.
- All training will take place in Johan Kelber recording studios and others
- Every student will enjoy personal attention at all teaching times and will have the freedom to work in the studio in his own time and pace, when the studio is available.
- I will mentor all students on all levels of song writing, piano playing, guitar playing, musical theory, scoring, chord charting, band playing and performing.
- Our main focus right through the year will be to produce his/her own CD with different genres of music. Every student will finish this year with recordings of his/her own work.
- All the students will host and participate in 1 show during the year of 2007.
- People with influence, success and impact in the South African Music Industry will be lecturers during this year. The following list consists of all the important people in the music industry that will share their expertise personally with you on different aspects of music producing.
